A PRINCIPLE JOURNEY
UDO chair | GOLIATH cutlery
by Studio Hausen

Can one simple principle be applied to a variation of complex products?

Inspired by the fabrication of scaffolding, pressed steal tubes serve in this case as the subject of inquiry. While in their original purpose restricted to constructive means and confined to a rough appearance the element successfully resurfaces in a duo of applications that, in the world of products, could not be further spread.

Upholding its constructive cause the tubes wrap their pressed sections around another creating the joining elements of a chair. transformed into cutlery the flattened tubes accomplish even table manners.

Through the product line a wrought material stunningly evolves from roughness to refinement to delicateness.
