„It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.”

A LATENCY JOURNEY
BALOO bag collection
by Michel Giesbrecht

Borders can be protective covers just as inhibitting limits – a tightrope walk determined by individual perspective and momentum-dependent desire.

Starting from the wide-themed field ‚matryoshkas an eggshells‘, prior experiments approach the contemporary
question of protection versus barricades and requirement versus redundance.

The inquiring photographs and collages of shields, equimpent and volume unfold a coherent antithesis - a backpack made of padding fabric yet leaving its content exposed to examination. then again allowing an integrated hideaway for personal belongings. While offering cushioning and capacity the product always presses the issue of privacy during packing and wearing.
