THE JOURNEY OF TIME & MATERIAL
NANI wood bench | ORA set of table mirrors | PANNA lamp
by Joa Herrenknecht

Furniture designer Joa Herrenknecht presents three unique objects.
Using innovative and recycled materials, she surprises in a delicate, sophisticated manner.

For the solid wood bench ‚NANI‘ Studio Joa Herrenknecht selected salmon leather for the seating -- a waste byproduct material from the food industry, which was carefully upcycled, color dyed and sewn together. Who would think of sitting on a fish?

The second project is ‚ORA‘ a set of table mirrors. The designer used existing mirrors and changed their appearance by individually treating their silver layer, and connecting them to a solid marble base.
The mirrors reflect time and notions of past and present.

Finally ‚PANNA‘ is a lamp shade made entirely out of colored cork leather. The designer created a very simple yet elegant shape, wrapping a fine piece of cork leather around the light, thereby creating a soft, shell-like lamp shade.

All used materials have grown naturally and therefore their patterns are unique.
